TUACA

Lorenzo de Medici, the legendary ruler of Florence in the 15th century and renaissance patron, is said to have enjoyed this liqueur. The recipe was rediscovered in 1938 and the old liqueur revived to widespread approval. It made its way to America when World War II servicemen based in Italy got a taste for it and brought it home, opening it up to a whole new market. It is made from the finest Italian brandy, ranging from three to ten years old, sourced from Faenza, a small city near Bologna. The brandy is blended with fine spirits and natural sugar before the addition of citrus and vanilla essences. The result is an exceptionally smooth, lightly sweet liqueur that can be enjoyed on the rocks or in many cocktails.
