GOSLINGS BLACK SEAL RUM

The story goes that in 1858 James Gosling's ship went aground in Bermuda on its way to America from London. Not a man to miss an opportunity, James settled on the Paradise island and began making rum, ageing it slowly in oak casks. The name comes from an early tradition of bottling the rum in used champagne bottles which were then sealed with a black wax. It soon became a favorite and today is made and aged in the same way it was 150 years ago. Its creators insist that this rum should be tasted straight up without any adulteration.
