BENESIN MEZCAL

This traditional mezcal from the Oaxaca region of Mexico is made using time-honored, labor intensive techniques. The agave matures for eight years before being harvested and slow roasted in an open pit where it gathers all that smoky flavor - one of the factors that distinguishes it from tequila. The cooked agave is then allowed to ferment in water, without any additives, before being distilled to create this genuine flavor of Mexico.
