LONGROW 18 YEAR
Gently peaty, this whisky comes from the Springbank distillery in the Cambpeltown region of Scotland. The malt is dried over peat fires to impart that smokiness usually associated with Islay Scotch. But the final spirit is double distilled, removing much, but not all, of that flavor. The nose is typical of Springbank with notes of brine and the seaside. The palate is gently peated and spicy but there are sweet undertones there also with hints of autumn fruits and citrus.
