GLENROTHES SINGLE MALT 1985
Out of Stock
There's not much of this vintage classic left so if you're interested in tasting it you should get onto it quick. It was first released in 1997 to wide popular acclaim for its aromatic spiciness. The Glenrothes master blender, John Ramsay, has finally agreed that the last drops are ready for bottling. If you tried it first time round there are still hints of the original left but the benefit of additional years is felt with the addition of extra oak and honey flavors. John Ramsay recommends this malt for early evening pre or post dinner drinks and it could even be served with dessert. It has been aged in Spanish and American oak casks to give it a mixture of bourbon and sherry hues. Golden, clear and bright in colour, with a bouquet of rich, fruity, raisins and sultanas. The palate is soft, smooth, oak, vanilla and sultanas with a long medium sweet finish.
