ART IN THE AGE - ROOT LIQUOR

The method of creating root liquor comes from native Americans who taught the technique to colonial settlers in the 1700s. Made from sassafras, sarsaparilla, birch bark and other wild roots and herbs, it became known as root tea. But in the late 1800s, the temperance movement conspired to remove the alcohol content and so root beer was born and the liquor disappeared. Art in the Age decided to recreate the old drink using the original methods. All ingredients are organic and the result is a surprising and uplifting drink with complex flavors and a satisfying sweetness.
Distillers notes: Incredibly unique in flavor, fairly clean on the palate with strong notes of birch, peppery herbaceousness, spices, citrus and vanilla bean. Very aromatic in the glass and finishes medium dry and exceptionally full-bodied.
