Delivery Policy



Age Disclaimer & General Shipping Information

You must be 21 years of age to order or receive alcoholic beverages from Cask. Any shipments containing alcoholic beverages are sent with an "Adult Signature Required" sticker, and the common carrier that delivers our beverage is required to ask and check for identification upon delivery. This requires that you will have to be available to sign at the time of delivery.

Cask will arrange for alcoholic beverage shipment on behalf of the buyer, to an address specified by the buyer, provided that Cask in its sole judgement believes that such shipment will not subject Cask to the risk of any form of legal action or other harm. If a buyer lives in a state where the direct shipment of alcoholic beverage by Cask violates the law, we suggest that the buyer provide an alternative address in another state. Otherwise, we regret that we cannot accept your alcoholic beverage order.

Federal Express and UPS shipments are restricted to California and states reciprocal with California.

Shipping Charges

Our shipping charges vary by destination, type of items being shipping, and total number of items being shipped. This information is normally available before the completion of the checkout process. If the shipping charge quoted is $0.00 or T.B.D., a customer service representative will contact you promptly to discuss shipping options and prices.

Shipping Glassware:

Ground: Will be charged the 3-Bottle price per box (Box of 1-6, Box of 1-4, Decanter, etc. depending on glass type).

Air: Will be charge the 6-Bottle price per box (Box of 1-6, Box of 1-4, Decanter, etc. depending on glass type).

Shipping Insurance:

As an option you can choose to purchase shipping insurance. Insurance is calculated at 0.75% for each dollar over $99.00. Orders less than $98.99 will be insured automatically. This is optional and protected by Cask against loss or damage.

Returns and Exchanges

We take pride in our reputation as purveyors of the finest quality products and service. If for any reason you are dissatisfied with a purchase, we'll assist you with a prompt refund or exchange.

If a package is visibly damaged upon receipt, you may refuse delivery. Once you have accepted delivery of your order, please contact Customer Service at 415-424-4844 or via email at info@caskstore.com before returning any merchandise. We will assist you to make returns and exchanges as hassle free as possible. Normally, we will have a shipping company pick up the product, and upon receipt of the return Cask will ship out a replacement or issue a credit.

Shipping and Delivery Estimates

Online orders take approximately 1-2 business days for processing plus shipping/delivery time.

If you need same day or expedited service, please call us at 415-424-4844.

If you order "Local Delivery" your order will receive priority since you are our good neighbor. We will do our absolute best to get the Downtown delivery to you immediately upon receipt of the order. If it is imperative that you receive expedited service by a definite time, please call us at 415-424-4844.

If you order "Will Call" you can pick up your order the same day at Cask. Please call us after you place the order to let us known when you’ll pick-up the order at 415-424-4844.

If you select “1-Day Shipping” please allow 1-2 business days for order processing plus shipping/delivery time. Selecting One-Day or Two-Day Shipping does not necessarily mean your order will arrive in one or two days. If you require same day or expedited service, please call us at 415-424-4844.

If you select “Ground Shipping” orders being shipped via ground service to the east coast take approximately 5-7 business days to arrive, once shipped. Midwest and Southwest shipments take 3-5 business days, and West coast orders take 2-3 days once shipped.

Extreme Weather Shipping

Safe delivery of your order is of great importance to Cask. During periods of extreme heat or cold, Cask may delay at its discretion shipment of a package to prevent heat damage or freezing. Orders placed between Wednesday and Friday using Ground, 3-Day or 2-Day service may be held until the following Monday to prevent your package from waiting in the shipper’s warehouse. Please look for email communications from us during such periods of extreme weather.

Oversized and Heavy Orders

Oversized and heavy orders may require additional shipping charges, especially when shipping second- or one-day air. You will not be quoted for shipping at the time of order placement, but we will contact you with a shipping quote once we have calculated the most economical method for your order.

Shipping to APO, FPO and PO Boxes

Currently we do not ship to APO, FPO, or PO boxes.

States to which we ship

There is one set of rules for shipping spirits, and a completely different set of rules for shipping wine (and beer) in the USA. Here are the restrictions:


Shipping Spirits: Approved States

If you are planning on having distilled spirits shipped within the US, please be advised that orders on our web site will only be accepted when the shipping address is in one of the following approved states:

Unfortunately, we won't be able to accept your spirits, wine or beer order over the Internet if you are shipping to these states.

Cask is located at 17 Third Street in San Francisco, CA 94103. Our store hours are as following: Monday through Saturday from 11:00 am until 7:00 pm.

Pending Status

Your order has been received and is awaiting inventory check, credit card authorization and shipment processing.

Order Finalized Status

Your order has completed and is ready shipping

On Hold Status

We have experienced a problem with your order. you should have received an email with an explanation of the problem. For any questions regarding this order, please contact customer service at 415-424-4844.

Cancelled Status

Your order has been cancelled due to an issue with the order that was not resolved. For any questions regarding this order, please contact customer service at 415-424-4844.

How to Order

Ordering online from CaskStore.com is simple and hassle free. We offer three ways to find the products you want:

1. Search using a brand name (e.g. Charbay, Highland Park) or the beverage type (e.g. bourbon).
2. Search by using a SKU or product number.
3. Search using our Advanced Search page.
Each time you click “Add to Cart” on individual item pages, the product will be added to your personal shopping cart. Scroll down and click “Return to Shopping” if you wish to continue searching for other items.

Once you’ve finished shopping, return to your shopping cart (click “View Cart”) and review your order.

Click "Click Here to Checkout". If you do not have an account, you will need to register. Complete the Billing and Shipping Information. Information that is in bold type is required. At the bottom of the screen select the "Create Account and Checkout" button.

Select the ship method for your package. See Shipping Information for details. Click "Proceed to Payment".

In the “Payment Information” screen, add you credit card information. Click "Continue to Checkout". Click “Submit Order”.

Please print this page for your records. You will receive an “Order Request Confirmation” by email. Please verify that you receive this email, and if not you may need to review your spam settings. Allow 1-2 business days for order requests to be processed. You can check here to see your order status.

Taxes:

Cask does not charge tax on orders shipping to destinations outside the state of California. We must charge tax on merchandise and shipping costs, however, on orders shipping to addresses in California, even if the billing address is in another state.

Credit Card & ID verification

Due to fraudulent attempts to purchase goods from our site, we may require additional verification when using a credit card on particular orders. This may require the credit card holder to fax Cask a photocopy of both the credit card and id of the billing party. We apologize for the inconvenience.
